For the theme, based on the direction that was given - "Medieval" and "Wars",
the overall identity that is used for this design is based on the following:

Mythological God wars - since it would be fitting for our "medieval wars" look and feel (something like Wrath of the Titans, or 300).
Light rays, light leaks and Fire particles are also used - symbolizes the glory of winning a war (and to give that mythical feel)
